The conflict in Gaza has long been a focal point of tension and sorrow in the Middle East, and recently has gained a lot of international attention. With its deep-rooted history and intricate web of political, religious, and cultural complexities, the region has witnessed countless personal stories that reflect the human impact of this prolonged conflict. It is easy to get wrapped up in the big picture politics and forget that it is individual people that are affected by these conflicts.

1. A Mother’s Resilience:

Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, one story emerges — that of Mariam, a mother of three. Living in a small apartment in Gaza City, Mariam’s life has been defined by constant fear and challenges — lack of clean water, no medical supplies and so much more. She recounts the sleepless nights spent comforting her children during intense bombings, holding onto hope for a better future. Despite the adversities, Mariam remains resilient, advocating for peace and stability, hoping that her children will one day grow up in a world free from conflict.

We can all and work towards this kind of world.
