Leaving a traditional job to pursue freelance writing can be an exciting and liberating experience, but it can also be a source of anxiety. The thought of leaving the security of a stable income and benefits can be daunting, but it’s important to remember that the rewards of freelance writing can be significant. In this article, we’ll explore the anxiety that can come with leaving your job to start freelance writing and provide tips on how to overcome it. I did’t find it easy to leave my full time office job to start dream chasing, but it has been worth it for me — if you are doing the same maybe you can take heart from my experience.

1. Acknowledge Your Fears

It’s natural to feel anxious when making a big change in your career. Acknowledge your fears and concerns, but don’t let them hold you back. Take some time to journal or talk to a trusted friend or mentor about your worries. By acknowledging your fears, you can start to address them and move forward.
